"STUDENTS HELPING STUDENTS"
Bucal is a non-profit organization whose mission is to mobilize students to help other students towards better health, wealthfare, and education.
Bukal [boo-khal] means "spring" or "waterfall" in Tagalog.
Bucal is a small province located 30 miles outside of Manila, Philippines. There is a fresh spring and river that runs throughout the town, and it serves as a place for fishing, fun, and family gatherings. However, the local water in Bucal is not potable year round and can become contaminated after the rains. Families frequently must spend hard earned money to buy bottled water. Even students who attend school during the day cannot drink the water at their local schools because it frequently makes them sick.
The passion to develop this organization grew when we visited Bucal and saw such need. Please help us help others.
